This is a dead, lightning struck tree at the very top of Itchen Valley Country Park. It was scribbled down in about two minutes while walking the dog.

This was a very quick sketch of one of the poplars that populate Riverside Park near my daughter's school. It was done on the school run while trying to keep a close eye on Harry my very fast 18 month old son.

tree three

This one is a Californian Chestnut, tucked away in a dark corner in Exbury Gardens. I was taken with the zigzag silouette of the tree as it fought for light and water under the canopy of the much larger surrounding specimens

This poor, scrawny looking specimen was in a carpark outside Halfords. I think it's a good few years old but stunted by the car pollution.

Finally able to scan and upload some stuff. Tree one is a cherry tree on a small green. The tree is outside the home of one of Molly's friends and it struck me as a very fine specimen every time we passed it on the school run
